Message From The President

Nepal stands at a moment of renewed possibility. A new government has taken office with a clear mandate for better governance, economic restructuring and private-sector-led growth, and the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) believes this is the right time to turn long-standing ambitions into action. Infrastructure remains the foundation of that ambition, and it is the surest path to the self-reliant, production-oriented economy we seek and to our goal of a $100 billion economy within the next decade. For a decades, the Nepal Infrastructure Summit has served as the country's leading platform for dialogue between the state, the private sector and development partners. Its sixth edition, NIS 2026, has been rescheduled to the first week of December 2026 so that it can respond fully to this evolving policy environment. Our aim is simple to move beyond discussion and focus on practical solutions to the approval, land, procurement and financing hurdles that have slowed our progress for far too long.
