Nepal Infrastructure Summit (NIS) 2017 discussed the theme “Private Sector as an Indispensable Partner.” It addressed issues that shape incentives for investment and enable the private sector to become an indispensable ally in infrastructure-led economic growth. It focused on the strategic vision of the country, value proposition, competitiveness, policy and regulatory enablers, and various aspects of infrastructure development at the national and regional levels.
“Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2017” was an event jointly organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI - a leading Nepalese private sector organization of medium and large-scale industries) in collaboration with the Government of Nepal (GoN) and Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors (YCNC). Other national-level organizations in the infrastructure sector and development partners/agencies were also partners in the event.
Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) was the Chief Guest, while Hon'ble Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Railways of the Government of India, was the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker.
