Dr. Khim Lal Devkota
Ex-Chairman, Federalism Implementation Study and Monitoring Parliamentary Special Committee of Federal Parliament (National Assembly)
Dr. Devkota is an expert in federalism and local governance in Nepal. He has served as a Member Expert on the Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations Council since July 2019, where he plays a key role in shaping fiscal policies that govern the distribution of resources between different levels of government.
Previously, he was Vice Chairman of the Provincial Policy and
Planning Commission in Bagmati Province from June 2018 to July 2019, where he
led initiatives like a provincial database, a five-year development roadmap,
and an investment summit. Academically, he holds a PhD in Development Economics
from Tribhuvan University and an MSc in Economic Analysis from the University
of Cyprus. Devkota's work significantly advances Nepal's federal governance and
development planning.
