Since 2014, CNI has been at the forefront of driving Nepal's economic development by creating a conducive industrial environment, promoting innovation, generating employment, and fostering collaboration between the private sector and the government. The Nepal Infrastructure Summit has played a pivotal role in these efforts, with previous editions held in 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2022, in collaboration with key government bodies such as the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Urban Development, the Ministry of Energy, the Investment Board, and the Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors (YCNC).

The upcoming summit, organized by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and CNI, with the Investment Board Nepal and YCNC as co-organizers, promises to be a landmark event. During a recent press conference, CNI President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in mobilizing resources for Nepal's infrastructure sector. He highlighted that the summit will delve into critical discussions on resource mobilization, policy reforms, and international best practices in infrastructure development. The insights gained from these discussions will be shared with the Government of Nepal to inform future policy decisions.

The Investment Board is committed to the summit's success under the public-private partnership model.

The 'BYD Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2024' will bring together national and international experts, investors, government representatives at all levels, and private sector leaders to explore key topics, including investment promotion, successful infrastructure development practices, and overcoming obstacles in the sector. Vice President Birendra Raj Pandey announced that the summit will cover 12 thematic areas, such as regional transportation, energy, and urban development, with participation from experts and investors from countries that have made significant infrastructure progress in recent years.

The summit will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Nepal, with presentations and discussions led by the Deputy Prime Minister, federal government ministers, provincial chief ministers, representatives from metropolitan cities, the National Planning Commission, Nepal Rastra Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and other national and international infrastructure experts.

In addition to the thematic discussions, the summit will feature a project showcase highlighting advanced projects from various provinces and municipalities across Nepal.
