About Plenary Session 2

Nepal's strategic position between China and India places it at the heart of regional infrastructure efforts that could significantly boost connectivity and economic integration across South Asia. One prominent example is the proposed China-Nepal-India (CNI) Economic Corridor. This initiative seeks to establish a trilateral cooperation framework, enhancing trade and transportation links between these major economies. If realized, this corridor could transform Nepal into a crucial transit hub, bridging Chinese and Indian markets and driving economic growth through improved access to regional supply chains.

This session aims to create a collaborative platform for discussing the critical role of infrastructure in promoting regional integration and economic growth. By considering a diverse array of stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, and development experts, the session aims to facilitate in-depth discussions on the opportunities and challenges associated with regional infrastructure development. The insights and outcomes generated from this session are expected to contribute to Nepal's broader developmental aspirations and support the country's journey toward sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
