Mr. Rajesh Kumar Agrawal is the President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and the Executive Director of RMC Group. He began his entrepreneurial journey in 1992 by entering the steel manufacturing industry, despite having no prior experience or knowledge in the field.
Agrawal's venture into this new territory proved to be a resounding success, as he transformed an initial investment of five million rupees into a business with an annual turnover exceeding five billion rupees. Remarkably, 40% of RMC’s production is exported to India. Agrawal attributes his success to consistency, which he believes is essential for building a trustworthy brand. His unique understanding of financial management, discipline, and profitability has been key to his business growth. Beyond manufacturing, RMC Group has diversified its investments into banking, and insurance, and is now venturing into the tourism and food sectors. Agrawal’s leadership at CNI and his business acumen have made him a prominent figure in Nepal’s industrial and entrepreneurial landscape.
